Pete and Darryl will attempt to answer questions relating to how current trends in technology, including but not limited to Social Media and the Internet, have wide-reaching impact on all human relationships. Darryl will frame the discussion by showing how our relationships play out on personal, interpersonal, cultural and institutional levels, while Pete will discuss the impact of technology on each of these levels.

Mr. Petry is an experienced IT and Health IT Professional currently on staff at the DC Primary Care Association (DCPCA) where his responsibilities include leveraging technology to solve complex business problems. He is a frequent speaker at the DC Chapter of the AITP and other venues and is currently serving as the Vice President of Programs and Events. He has approximately 40 years of experience in information technology and over 15 years of experience supporting healthcare applications. Prior to joining DCPCA, Mr. Petry was a Senior Clinical Systems Analyst at MedStar Health and a former Lead Support Specialist at Kaiser Permanente. He's also worked as a consultant for APS Healthcare, Value Options, Advent InfoSystems, CMS and SureScripts. Mr. Petry has 35+ years of experience in Information Technology and 14+ years of experience in Health IT. He has a proven track record and passion for leveraging technology to solve highly complex business processes and within Healthcare, increasing patient safety, eliminating healthcare disparities and improving patient outcomes.
Darryl Moment is a long time seasoned professional working in the News Media and Entertainment Industry. He has 28 years of EN Editing and Production experience, 35 years of experience working as a still photographer (studied under Mr. Frank R. Jackson, Washington Post), former Staff Photographer at Kingman's Boys Club, Studio Manager for AIPP/Videotap Editor for KPRC TV, and Videotape Editor/Photographer for KHOU TV (all in Houston, TX), he has worked as a commercial darkroom technicians, Medical Illustrator and Photographer. He is a former center director and active member of the Mankind Project of Washington, DC: (http://www.mkp.org), and an expert in multicultural dynamics. He has multiple public speaking, public relations, image consultation and personal goal setting and assessment experience.
